My Methodology

Coaching Philosophy

During my table tennis career, I have had the opportunity to see how some table tennis players develop into champions. It requires a combination of several factors, some of which you are born with and others which can be developed. In order to maximize your potential, you must be disciplined, coachable, and have a tremendous work ethic.

Every table tennis player is different and there is not just one way to stroke the ball. Although, we consistently teach the basic fundamentals of the game, each student is evaluated individually, and taught according to his/her own mental and physical capabilities and style. At Spinmasterz Table Tennis Academy we not only teach the fundamentals of playing the game, but we teach court etiquette; good sportsmanship on and off the table and being polite and courteous to players, coaches, referees, staff, “everyone”!

My name is Coach Kudakwashe Mhurure, and I am an ITTF Level One certified coach. With a deep passion for table tennis, I founded SpinMasterz Table Tennis Academy to help athletes develop their skills in the sport, from beginners to competitive players. At SpinMasterz, we aim to nurture not only the technical aspects of the game but also sportsmanship, discipline, and a love for the sport.

I have had the privilege of working alongside some of the world’s most renowned coaches, such as Branka Batinic, Anver Lyners, and Roman Plese. Branka Batinic, a veteran coach and four-time World and European women’s veteran champion, has been instrumental in developing young talents through intensive training camps across Europe Meanwhile, Anver Lyners and Roman Plese have also significantly influenced my coaching philosophy, enhancing my ability to deliver high-quality training sessions tailored to individual needs.
